Kate Hill Cantrill
Kate Hill Cantrill is an American writer, artist and teacher. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the Michener Center for Writers in Austin, Texas where she also studied Theatrical Painting, and a BA in English Writing with a minor in Studio Arts from The University of Pittsburgh. She has received fellowships from The James A. Michener Fund, The Corporation of Yaddo, The Virginia Center for Creative Arts, and The Jentel Artists' Residency. Her short stories, poems, and creative non-fiction work has appeared in literary magazines such as: Story Quarterly, Blackbird, Mississippi Review and The Believer. She presently lives just outside of her hometown of Philadelphia in South Jersey where she writes and teaches and seeks representation for the print, audio, and foreign rights to her novel, Please Don't Walk In And Misunderstand.
